Something we all feel races along and sweeps us up . However , throwing a pot can make you stop and focus and is one of the most calming things to do. As long as you remember to breath.
I retired seven years ago after teaching for nearly thirty five years and was one of those lucky people who loved their job. However, it is now absolute heaven to have time to create , experiment and produce ceramics and paintings that other people find delight in.
I was born in Cape Cornwall and spent all of my youth in and around Penwith before leaving for Art College ( bliss) to find my ‘ tribe’ of people. I paint, make rag rugs , love all types of ceramics but more than anything am enthralled by colour and spend all my time looking at the landscape and thinking ,’ now, how would I make that colour?
